You are confusing it with "A Country Practice", which unlike the series I was referring to, didn't air on ABC and wasn't a variety series. Additionally, "A Country Practice" was never known as "The Lorrae Desmond Show". I can't figure out how you confused two completely different shows.

I was referring to the 1960s variety series on ABC titled "The Lorrae Desmond Show" (see original post), but thanks for trying.

Sorry for being rude, but I am sick of how little info there is on pre-1964 Australian TV shows online. I've tried looking "The Lorrae Desmond Show" up, but Wikipedia and IMDb don't have any infomation, nor do other sites I've come across. The only infomation I can find of the show online is that it won a Logie award in 1962, plus the listings for surviving kinescope recordings on the National Film and Sound Archive (NFSA) website. Some sites claim it was a talk show, but decriptions of episodes at the NFSA confirm it wasn't, instead it was a variety show. I was hoping someone like Video-Cellar would know more.

By the way, there's also little infomation listed on "Take That" (first Australian sitcom, debuted 1957. Some sites say it ended 1957, others say it ended 1959), which gives an idea of how little respect Australian television history gets. I find it extremely frustrating and it really p****s me off. It's left me in a very bad mood...and we all know I was in a bad enough mood to begin with. Ugh.
